AbstractThis article concerns the series of hand-colored plates entitled "The Life of William Cobbett by Himself," executed by the great English political caricaturist John Gillray, and published at London September 29, 1809, by H. Humphrey. It is one of a number of anti-Cobbett publications of the time.
