Adams gives a lively description of the Library's fine lot of first editions and manuscripts of modern authors. They are from the collection of Robert Kriendler, the co-owner of the famous Club 21 in New York City, a haunt of modern American writers. Especially well represented is John O'Hara's sixty-six typescripts of stories and sketches printed by the New York. Other authors included in the collection are Somerset Maugham, Stephen Vincent Benet, Edna Ferber, Zona Gale, Alexander Woollcott and many others.Downloads
