AbstractThe article concerns a painting of the funeral of Philip Milledoler (1775-1852), Rutgers' fifth president 1825-1840). The author provides a transcription of the author's father's (Rev. Dr. Cormelius Brett's) memory of the service and an explanation of the picture.
