On March 5, 1937, a few friends of the Rutgers University Library, led by the Librarian, Mr. George A. Osborn, and the chairman of the Library Committee of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Richard T. Greene, met in the Trustees' Room of Old Queens to organize the Associated Friends of the Library of Rutgers University. Dr. Jacob G. Lipman was made temporary chairman in charge of plans for the permanent organization of the Associated Friends.Downloads
